*Hereditary Sensory and Autonomic Neuropathy type 2* with Grade 4 adenoids – surgery conducted by Dr Nishan, Consultant ENT Surgeon, Clearmedi Radiant Hospital, Mysuru
These patients are prone for
Hyperthermia / malignant hyperthermia, dysarrythmias, hypotension due to autonomic dysfunction.
Some times exaggerated response during airway management.
So all preventive measures taken to prevent hyperthermia like OT is kept at 16 degree C, no warming equipments, patient temperature is kept below normal, good pre-councilling done to prevent anxiety, premeditation with antiemitic as they have gastro oesophageal reflux disease and aspiration risk
